How much does
crusher transport?

The cost of transporting a crusher depends on six factors. Crushers are some of the heaviest and longest mobile machines — mass, configuration and location determine everything. Send the model and the route — with no hidden costs.

Crusher type and class

Jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers and screening plants have different dimensions and centers of gravity. The Kleemann MC 110 (56t) is a very different transport than the Metso Lokotrack LT120 (54t) or the Sandvik QJ341 (50t). Each model has different trailer and loading requirements.

Crawler or wheeled

Crawler crushers are transported on a lowbed — the tracks require special chocks and chains for securing, and loading is done by self-propelled onto a trailer. Wheeled crushers are transported on a flatbed trailer with wheel locks. Different trailer requirements mean different calculations.

Weight and configuration

Mobile crushers range from 25 tons (smaller models for municipal work) to 120 tons (large tracked jaw crushers). Conveyors, feeders, and protective shields add weight. Some crushers have collapsible conveyors for transport — check to see if the feeder is collapsible or requires disassembly.

Route and location of the quarry

Quarries and mines are often in difficult locations — narrow access roads, slopes, undeveloped terrain. Access check for lowbed truck is mandatory in advance. Some locations require prior preparation of an access road or alternative loading method.

Delivery time

We organize standard transport within 24–48 hours. Crushers for quarries and mines are priority cargoes — every day of downtime costs money. For emergencies, we organize pickup within 12–24 hours with an additional charge for priority organization.

Vangabarity and permissions

Most crawler crushers are 3–4 m high and 2.5–3.5 m wide on the transport trailer. Anything wider than 2.55 m or more than 4 m requires special permits for extraordinary transport in each transit country. We organize all permits as part of the service.

for transport

Five steps that make loading faster and transport safer.

    Measure and check dimensions

    Measure the width, height, and length of the crusher in the transport configuration — with the hopper and conveyor removed if applicable. This determines the trailer type and transport category.

    Secure moving parts

    The conveyor, vibrating feeder and conveyor belts must be fixed or dismantled. Prevents movement and damage during travel.

  • 3

    Empty the bunker and conveyor belts

    Remove remaining material from hoppers, crushing chambers and conveyor belts. Reduces weight and prevents spillage during transport.

  • 4

    Prepare technical documentation

    Registration certificate, invoice/proof of ownership, any customs papers.

  • 5

    Provide access for loading

    The truck needs min. 20m of flat ground for lowering the ramp and maneuvering. Quarries and construction sites — often inaccessible terrain, let us know in advance.

Does the crusher conveyor need to be dismantled for transport?
It depends on the model. Most mobile crushers have a side or rear conveyor that folds into the transport position hydraulically or manually — in which case disassembly is not required. Some older models and special configurations have a conveyor that cannot be folded — it is then dismantled for transport. We always check this in the technical data or ask for a photo beforehand.
Can the crusher be loaded onto a trailer using its own power?
Yes — a crawler crusher is typically loaded drive-on onto a lowbed trailer via hydraulic ramps. This is the most common and fastest way to load. The condition is that the crawler drive is working and the location is flat with enough room to maneuver. For broken or stationary crushers, we use a mobile crane or forklift.
Do you organize simultaneous transport of crushers and sieves?
Yes — we regularly organize simultaneous transport of a crusher and a mobile screen (screening plant) from the same location. Both machines leave at the same time and arrive at the new location at the same time. This eliminates waiting and reduces the overall loss of quarry working time.
How long does it take to transport a crusher from Germany?
Crushers within the dimensions (width up to 2.55 m on a trailer): 2–3 business days to Bosnia, Croatia or Serbia. Oversized crushers with special permits: 5–10 days total (3–7 days for permits + 2–3 days for transport). For emergencies, we organize express transport within 24–48 hours with an additional charge for priority organization.
Can a lowbed come in a quarry?
Depending on the condition of the access road. A lowbed truck has a clearance of 0.30–0.40 m below the chassis and is not suitable for steep, uneven or wet access roads in quarries. For more difficult to access locations, we use a step-frame trailer with higher clearance or we organize loading on a more accessible part of the location. Always ask for a description of the access road when making an inquiry.
Is the crusher insured during transport?
Yes — every transport is covered by a CMR bill of lading. For high-value crushers (new machines, special configurations) we arrange additional cargo insurance according to the declared value of the equipment.
What documentation is required for transporting a crusher?
CE certification or machine nameplate and invoice or proof of ownership. For oversized crushers: special permits for extraordinary transport for each transit country — we organize them. For customs clearance: customs declaration and invoice.
Do you carry Kleemann, Metso, Sandvik and Terex crushers?
Yes — we transport all brands of crushers: Kleemann (Wirtgen Group), Metso Outotec (Lokotrack), Sandvik, Terex Finlay, McCloskey, Keestrack, Powerscreen, Rubble Master, Portafill, Dragon Machinery and all others. Conveyor not assembled — wrong vehicle
