Does the articulated chassis need to be locked for transport?
Yes — mandatory. All articulated forest tractors (forwarders, harvesters, skidders with articulated chassis) have a special safety lock or chain to lock the front and rear of the chassis in a flat position for transport. Without a locked joint, the rear end can rotate on the trailer, causing damage to the tires, trailer and machine.
Do flotation tires increase the width for transport?
Yes — flotation tires on forestry tractors (width 600–900 mm) increase the overall width of the machine on the trailer. Forwarders and harvesters with the widest tires can be 2.6–3.2 m wide on a lowbed. All dimensions above 2.55 m require special permits for extraordinary transport in each transit country. We organize permits immediately upon order confirmation.

How long does it take to transport from Scandinavia to the Balkans?
Transport from Finland or Sweden to Bosnia, Serbia or Croatia takes 4-7 working days depending on the destination. From Norway: 5–8 days. For oversized machines requiring permits: 8–14 days total. In the harvesting season, we recommend booking in advance.
Is the forestry tractor insured during transport?
Yes — every transport is covered by a CMR bill of lading. For high-value harvesters and forwarders (new machines, special configurations), we organize additional cargo insurance according to the declared value of the equipment.
