Caterpillar 988G

Transporting a heavy wheel loader Caterpillar 988G was completed in 2025 from Dublin to Dortmund. The CAT 988G is a 55-ton class loader, equipped with a large bucket with a capacity of up to 11 m³, intended for work in quarries and mining operations. The machine was transported with the bucket placed in front of the machine to reduce the overall length.

Total route length 1,842 km passes through 4 countries (IE → UK → BE → DE), including a RoRo crossing between Ireland and the United Kingdom. All necessary exceptional transport permits have been obtained for each section, including CONVOI EXCEPTIONNEL permits for the continental part of the route.
